Wee Jin (Jeanie) Jung, M.D.

Dr. Jeanie Jung attended Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts where she earned a B.S. in Neuroscience and was a member of the crew team. She received her M.D. degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta in 1999 and completed her pediatric residency at TC Thompson Children’s Hospital in Chattanooga. Dr. Jung is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics. She resides on Lookout Mountain with her husband and two daughters.

Kevin G. Mounce, P.A.

Mr. Kevin Mounce was born in Ohio and moved to Tennessee as a child. He graduated from the Physician Assistant program at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville in 1984. Mr. Mounce is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed in the State of Tennessee. He worked in family practice for three years in Collinwood, TN before accepting a position at St.Jude Children’s Research Hospital in 1987. Mr. Mounce moved to Chattanooga in 1994 as part of the St.Jude Affiliate Program where he worked for four years. He has been on staff at TC Thompson Children’s Hospital Emergency Room for the past 12 years.

Dr. Kendra Simpson

Dr. Kendra Simpson received her B.S. from Sweet Briar College in Amherst, VA, where she graduated magna cum laude and was director of the campus a capella group “Sweet Tones.” She received her M.D. from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX in 2011 and completed her medical residency at TC Thompson’s Children’s Hospital in Chattanooga before serving as Chief Pediatric Resident the following year. Dr. Simpson is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics. In her free time, she enjoys digital art, singing with the Scenic City Chorus, and spending time with her family. She lives in Chattanooga with her husband, daughter, and son.

Dr. Carrie McLaulin

Dr. Carrie McLaulin received her B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from Auburn University in Auburn, AL, where she graduated summa cum laude. During her time at Auburn, she participated in the fight on world hunger and took a year to do mission work in Swaziland, Africa. She received her M.D. from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, AL, and then completed her medical residency in Pediatrics at The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School. Dr. McLaulin and her family were excited to move to Chattanooga to be closer to family, as well as enjoy the amazing weather and activities around the city. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her two busy boys and her husband!


Jason L. Steadman, Psy.D.

Born and raised in nearby Dalton, GA, Dr. Jason Steadman received his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Evansville, IN. He completed his doctoral training at the top-ranked Psy.D. program in the country, Baylor University, in Waco, TX, in 2013. He completed his residency at The Village for Families and Children, in Hartford, CT, and then a fellowship in community health and integrated primary care at Community Health Center, Inc., in Middletown, CT. Before moving to Chattanooga, Dr. Steadman was a psychology professor at East Tennessee State University, where he taught undergraduate, graduate, and medical (M.D.) students. Dr. Steadman is also a singer/songwriter, with published music on iTunes and other digital music sources. He lives in Chattanooga with his wife (a native of Argentina) and daughter.

Dr. Laura Asbury Cooper

Dr. Laura Asbury Cooper received her BS in Biology from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina where she graduated summa cum laude. She was active in leadership groups and medical missions during her time there. She received her MD from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee and then completed her pediatric residency at TC Thompson Children’s Hospital in Chattanooga. She also served as Chief Resident and Director of Adolescent Medicine at TC Thompson’s. After 8 years in Knoxville practicing general pediatrics at Pediatric Clinic, Dr Laura is back home in Chattanooga with her husband and 4 children. In her free time she enjoys serving others in medical missions and spending time with her family.
